Waipu Celtic Barn

This project was intended to be a refurbishment of the existing hall but the client eventually decided on building the ambitious Celtic Barn instead.

It takes a special kind of community to realise a $1.8 million project, but that’s just what happened with Waipu folks raising $800,000.

As well as generous donations from individuals and local businesses, the Waipu Caledonian Trust received grants from the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board, the ASB Community Trust and Whangarei District Council. Completed in August 2015, this project was a joint venture between Paneltech construction and Trigg Construction, with Paneltech suppling and installing 28 panels including 593 sqm of 150mm precast panels.

The Waipu Celtic Barn project was delivered on time and budget.
